The group was created after The British Motor Show in 2024, by the UK's youngest car wrapper and decal designer Ash Wraps at 16 years old, who was approached by other young automotive enthusiasts asking how they would get involved in their particular automotive interest and what support is available for them.

Ashley who started his automotive career at just 10 years old designing vehicle graffics on Forza, has continued his automotive journey from designing to applying his unique designs to various vehicles.

At 17 years old he was nominated for Motorvate at Automechanika 2025 by supporters of Automotive Youth , where he was one of the award winners of the Thirty under 30 Class of 2025, in recognition of outstanding talent and contribution to the automotive industry, Motorvate sponsored by Comma and in partnership with IMI Institute of the Motor Industry.

He has a strong belief in encouraging younger people to succeed in thier chosen automotive field and help those who need extra support.

Using his journey from the age of 10 years old and to show that you can achieve your goals,  like him with the right support, mentorship and encouragement on the road to success in the automotive industry.

While he continues to be a part of Automotive Youth he is currently studying at Coleg Menai, under taking Motorsport Engineering level 3.

Our core values are to encourage, inspire, motivate, help and support young people aged between 12 and 25 years old with a network of like minded individuals and businesses that can help them achieve their own goals and aspirations within the automotive industry

Our goals

We aim to inspire, educate and mentor the automotive youth of today, encourage and support one another in any way we can. whether that be looking for help with the small things or looking at the bigger picture such as helping young people move their automotive passions forward on the road to success.

What happens after group members turn 25 years old? they become mentors no matter how old you are there is always a place for you in Automotive Youth.
